Deletion cannot be undone. If you want to keep what you have recorded, first export it from “Settings → Export data (CSV)” in the app. You can take wine names, ratings and tasting notes out as a CSV, and photos as download links.
If you can use the app, this is the quickest way. The process completes on the spot.
Your account and data are deleted the moment you proceed, and this cannot be reversed.
If you have already deleted the app, or cannot sign in and so cannot delete from within the app, please request deletion by email.
Use the subject “Account deletion request (Cave Note)” and write the email address registered in the app in the body. To verify your identity, please send the email from that address.
We normally reply within two business days, and delete the account after confirming.
When you delete, all of the following is erased. It cannot be restored.

| Recorded data | Producer, wine name, vintage, region, grape varieties, type, importer, rating, taste tags, price, place of purchase, date drunk, tasting notes |
| Label photos | Every photo attached to a record. Photos that are not tied to any record because you left without saving are erased as well |
| Scan history | The date, time and result of each label reading, and the number of scans this month |
| Contents of the Trash | Records that were deleted and are still within the restore period are erased together |
| Signed-in state | Sessions on all devices are invalidated |
Note that when you delete an individual record in the app, it is kept in the Trash for 30 days and then erased automatically. Deleting your account erases everything immediately, without waiting for those 30 days.

| Files on your device | CSV files you exported yourself and photos saved on your device stay with you. Please delete them yourself if you do not need them |
A Premium plan subscription is not canceled automatically when you delete your account. Please cancel it from your settings on the App Store or Google Play.
