These Terms apply to every aspect of your use of the App and your relationship with us, including when you only browse the App without signing in. Any notices or guidelines we post in the App form part of these Terms. How we handle personal information is described in our separate Privacy Policy.
The App is an archive for recording and sharing graffiti and street art on city walls, including works that are being painted over and lost. The App does not encourage or promote painting on walls or other property without permission.
To post, report sightings, use the Watchlist and use other features, you need to sign in with an Apple or Google account. You are responsible for managing your account. If we find that an account is being used fraudulently, we may suspend it.
Photos, wall locations, information about pieces, sightings and anything else you post to the App (“Your Content”) are published so that anyone can view them, including people who are not signed in.
You keep the copyright in photos you took. You grant us a free, worldwide and perpetual license to store, reproduce, display and publish Your Content in the App and to promote the App, and to modify it to the extent needed to display it (for example, by resizing or cropping).
You confirm that you took the photos you post yourself, or that you have the rights needed to post them. The copyright in a work shown in a photo belongs to the writer of that work.
Because the App is meant to be a lasting archive, Your Content stays in the App as an anonymous record even after you delete your account (Section 12). If we determine that any of Your Content violates these Terms, we may hide or remove it without notice.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. When using the App, you must not:
You can report any wall, piece or photo you believe is inappropriate using the report option on each screen. You can also block a poster, after which their walls, pieces and photos will no longer be shown to you.
We aim to review reported content within 24 hours. If we determine that it violates these Terms, we will hide or remove it. We may suspend the accounts of users who repeatedly or seriously violate these Terms without notice.
To help prevent inappropriate content, photos are checked automatically by AI before they are posted (see the Privacy Policy for details).
The writer of a piece can claim the writer page for their work in the App. We confirm the claimant’s identity through their social media account or similar means, and decide whether to approve the claim.
A writer whose claim has been approved can choose to show the walls with their pieces as an area of about 500 meters square instead of an exact point. This setting cannot prevent a location from being inferred from where it was shown before the setting was turned on, or from the scenery in photos, the wall’s name and so on.
If you visit a location based on information in the App, you do so at your own risk. Do not enter private property or areas where entry is prohibited, take photos in dangerous places such as on railway tracks or roads, or disturb the neighborhood.
Locations, whether a piece is still there, writers and other information in the App are based on posts and sightings by users. We do not guarantee that this information is accurate.
Anyone who wants content in the App removed, including people who do not use the App, such as the writer of a work, the owner or manager of a wall or building, or someone who appears in a photo, can contact us at [email protected]. We will review the request and take appropriate action, such as hiding or removing the content or changing a location.
We may change the App, or suspend or end it, after giving users advance notice. We may temporarily suspend the App without notice when unavoidable, such as for system maintenance, network outages or natural disasters.
The App is free to use. If we introduce paid features or advertising in the future, we will announce them in advance in the App or on our website. You are responsible for any data charges from using the App.
You can delete your account at any time from the “You” tab in the App. When you delete your account, your nickname, Watchlist and similar data are erased, but Your Content remains as an anonymous record. For details of what is erased and what remains, see the Privacy Policy.
We are not responsible for the content that users post. Disputes between users, or between a user and a third party, must be resolved by the parties involved. Except where caused by our intent or gross negligence, we are not liable for any damage you suffer from using the App.
We may change these Terms when we consider it necessary, by notifying users. If you continue to use the App after the change, you are deemed to have agreed to the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court with jurisdiction over our place of business.
If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us at [email protected].
